    Du ved det, n\u00e5r du ser det, eller n\u00e5r du ikke g\u00f8r det. Men bed to personer om at definere lys, og medmindre de er uddannet i fysik, vil du sandsynligvis f\u00e5 nogle virkelig basale svar, som i "Det er den ting, der kommer fra solen og g\u00f8r alting, du ved ... ikke m\u00f8rkt". Men som alt andet i naturen har lys en komposition. Det har en struktur, en anatomi, der kan nedbrydes i dele. Og det betyder noget, for uden lys ville vi ikke have nogen m\u00e5de at opfatte farve p\u00e5.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    Lys kommer ikke bare ud af ingenting. Alt lys har en kilde. Nogle lyskilder er kunstige, s\u00e5som lamper og spotlights. Men den st\u00f8rste naturlige lyskilde, vores art kender til, er "Sol"...det tekniske navn for vores sol. Vi f\u00e5r hovedparten af vores lys fra Solen. Vi kalder det naturligt lys "omgivende" lys. Omgivende lys er det lys, der er synligt, n\u00e5r alle kunstige lyskilder er slukket.<\/span><\/p>

    De fleste af os l\u00e6rte i skolen, at lette rejser rejser virkelig hurtigt med 186.000 miles i sekundet. Men pr\u00e6cis HVORDAN rejser det? Lys "udstr\u00e5ler" og bev\u00e6ger sig v\u00e6k fra sin kilde gennem rummet. Lys bev\u00e6ger sig i form af str\u00e5ler, som vi kalder "str\u00e5ler". Den b\u00f8jer eller drejer ikke i hj\u00f8rner. Lys bev\u00e6ger sig i en lige linje. Men hvis vi kunne tage et r\u00f8ntgenbillede af lys, hvordan ville det s\u00e5 se ud?     Vi bruger et prisme til at fungere som vores r\u00f8ntgen. F\u00f8r vi fandt p\u00e5 den enhed, var den eneste m\u00e5de, vi overhovedet vidste, at der var et spektrum p\u00e5, fordi naturen gav os de atmosf\u00e6riske forhold, der kr\u00e6vedes for at se en regnbue. Prismet gav os vores f\u00f8rste kontrollerede blik p\u00e5 lysets anatomi. Lys kan se hvidt ud med det blotte \u00f8je, men prismet viser os, hvordan lys virkelig ser ud...p\u00e5 indersiden. Vi kalder det farvearrangement et spektrum.<\/span><\/p>

    Dette spektrale syn p\u00e5 lys fort\u00e6ller os alle mulige ting om dets anatomi. Vi kalder denne regnbue det "synlige" spektrum ... den del af spektret, der faktisk kan opfattes af det menneskelige \u00f8je. Prismet viser os det synlige spektrum, n\u00e5r vi retter det mod solen og lader naturligt lys skinne igennem det. Det er ikke hele spektret. Det "usynlige" spektrum inkluderer ultraviolet og infrar\u00f8dt lys, som det blotte \u00f8je ikke kan opfatte, men det er helt sikkert der. Det synlige spektrum viser os heller ikke alle de farver, som det menneskelige \u00f8je kan opfatte. Det er fordi nogle farver er skabt ved at blande.
